Milestone SABIS® Academy of New Orleans Enthusiastic about Learning
Mr. Carl Bistany, President of SABIS® Educational Systems, Inc., recently visited Milestone SABIS® Academy of New Orleans (MSANO) and applauded the school’s enthusiastic approach to learning. Mr. Bistany’s visit came on the heels of MSANO’s achievement of ‘Adequate Yearly Progress” (AYP) for the 2007-08 academic year and the school’s distinction as a ‘one star’ school by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. “Visiting MSANO, you get a definite sense that learning is taking place, and a very valuable part of this accomplishment comes from the enthusiasm of the students and staff,” commented the SABIS® President.
During his visit, Mr. Bistany met with MSANO staff and students and emphasized the importance of the Student Life program, a program that empowers students to take initiative from a young age and ensures the achievement of high academic standards. Under the guidance of faculty and staff, MSANO students involved in Student Life develop independence, tolerance, integrity, and morality, while also gaining a sense of accomplishment from the many different activities and initiatives they successfully plan and implement.
MSANO is a New Orleans Charter School that offers students from Kindergarten through the 8th grade a unique and rigorous curriculum, designed to optimize the productivity of students.
